In this project, the brief was to create a magazine campaign for our favorite company. I chose to do a series of ads for Sea Dog Brewing Company which is my favorite beer company.
After researching the company I found out that the companies mascot dog would jump into the sea at the first site of it. That lead me to the idea that the ad should be based around the phrase, "JUMP IN!" Like you would grab your favorite Sea Dog brew and jump in the water just like a dog.
I went about searching for stock photos of dogs jumping into water in environments that would suit the type of beers that i would be advertising. The only one that I found that really worked was the Summer Ale ads picture which I got from some guys blog named David Wirth. I emailed him and asked him if I could use his picture for my project and he said I could as long as I showed him the finished product. Thanks David! The other two I had to make do with what I had.
The, "Psst... Go ahead. Grab one!" comment was a last piece that I added when I thought that the ads need just a little more becuase without it they didn't look finished.
